I’ve always been fairly active. I grew up dancing competitively from a really young age, it was a huge part of my life growing up, and I loved it! I then had the opportunity to start teaching at the studio I grew up at, I taught for 7 years and I loved being able to provide that same experience for students that I had. Over the years I’ve kept prioritizing fitness, staying moving and active - for me it brings a sense of stability on a daily basis, and it’s such a release!


I was exposed to Lagree several years ago, and I immediately fell in love. It was one of the first workouts I’ve found that connects me back to my roots in dance. When I found The Fitual in 2019 and saw that Chalnessa was bringing lagree to Winnipeg with MEGAFitual - I was PUMPED! I love Mega because it’s such a challenging workout that gives you a mix of everything (those shakes are next level!). As a trainer, I love getting people to explore new movement and work with muscles they didn’t even know they had. It’s so rewarding to watch them get stronger with each class!

Favourite MEGA move?

This is a tough one - I don’t know if I can just pick one! I do love a good Snake (controversial, I know), but I also love Reverse Giant Twisted Crunch for the extra burn! All our oblique blocks are killer!

What can one expect from your class?

In my classes you can expect cues that will help you move your body through the exercises with proper form, pulses for that extra burn, and a playlist that keeps you motivated from start to finish. I want every client to feel those full body shakes, and get the most of their workout!
