MEGA Mama Fitual
What do you love about Fitual?
What I love about the Fitual is the family feel, and the way Chalnessa has taken it upon herself to make sure all of her teachers and staff are aware of pelvic health, women’s health and how to exercise safely within one’s own capabilities.
What is your advice to a postpartum mama returning to fitness?
My advice to any postpartum mama thinking about returning to fitness is to remember to have gratitude and respect for what the body has accomplished. There has been a lot of change over a large amount of time. Remember, your hormones, body shape, bones, muscle’s length, your nutrition/hydration, ability for rest, has all changed since the birth of your child(ren). Remember that exercise is important for all human bodies and think of exercise as fuel which feeds our muscles, bones, ligaments, heart and lungs. It’s not a race. It’s not a competition. It’s about health.
What is your favourite prenatal and postpartum exercise?
My favorite prenatal and postpartum exercise is the “Core Breath” because it is not only a foundational skill enabling the core in its entirety to turn on prior to exertion, it is also the way we should move and live in our bodies everyday.
What can one expect from your class?
From my Mega Mama class, you should expect to learn and perfect the core breath, how to apply it to real life, birthing mantras, and recovery thoughts and a seriously burning ass.
